South Gate & Hollydale Playgrounds
The Park Openings
More playgrounds means more happy children! The City of South Gate chose RecWest and Landscape Structures to design and install two brand new playgrounds at South Gate and Hollydale Parks.
Both playgrounds were huge hits for the community. Everyone had a blast trying out all of the new equipment – even Vice Mayor, Maria Davila and Parks and Recreation Directors Paul Adams and Steve Costly couldn’t help but join in on the fun!
South Gate Park
South Gate Park is one of the city’s most heavily used parks, which means that each day hundreds of children will get to play together at its brand new playground.
Kids will get to “fly” across the Double Zip Krooz, navigate their way up the NetPlex climbing structure, and then relax together on the oversized Oodle Swing!
South Park Highlight Play Elements
Hollydale Park
Hollydale Park’s new playground is the first step of a plan to revitalize the entire park. RecWest and Landscape Structures blended both modern and traditional play elements together to create a truly dynamic and inclusive playground!
Playground Design
Older children can challenge themselves physically on the free standing Mobius Climber and SpaceWalk bridge, while younger children and those with disabilities can go for a spin on our OmniSpinner or zoom down the RollerSlide! Hollydale Park’s new playground truly has something for everyone!
